National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA)
The National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) is the UK's leading professional body for estate agency. Its members practice across all aspects of property both in the UK and overseas, including residential and commercial sales and lettings, property management, business transfer, auctioneering and land.
The Association was established with the goal of upholding good practice and high professional standards in the UK. Today, its key roles include providing help and guidance for property professionals across a broad spectrum of disciplines, while continually campaigning to make the property market more efficient and user-friendly for the home buying and selling public.
Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA)
The Association of Residential Lettings Agents (ARLA) was formed in 1981 as the professional and regulatory body for letting agents in the UK. It was recognised that the requirements of the residential lettings market were so detailed and specific that a separate organisation was required to promote standards in this important and growing sector of the property market.
ARLA has nearly 6,000 individual members, representing 3,500 member offices throughout the UK including large multi-branch national companies as well as the smaller single office practices. Membership is achieved only by agents who demonstrate that they have a thorough knowledge of their profession and that they conduct their business according to current best management practice.
Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is the world's leading professional body for qualifications and standards in land, property and construction. As people, governments, banks and commercial organisations continue to demand more assurance of certified standards and ethics, attaining RICS status is the recognised mark of property professionalism.
Tenancy Deposit Scheme
The Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) is operated by The Dispute Service Limited, a not for profit company, authorised by the government to run an insurance based tenancy deposit protection scheme.
The Tenancy Deposit Scheme is a multi-award winning organization, awarded the Government Standard for Customer Service Excellence, and was a finalist in the Customer Service category at the Landlord and Lettings Awards 2013.
TDS is the only not for profit provider of tenancy deposit protection, and they plough any surpluses they make back into the business, for the benefit of the members and those using our service.
Ombudsmen Services Property
Patrick Gardner Residential is a member of the Ombudsman Services, a redress scheme, which is designed to deal with a complaint should Patrick Gardner Residential be unable to do so.
Ombudsman Services was founded in 2002 to provide independent dispute resolution. They provide an independent, impartial means of resolving disputes outside the courts and operate under appropriate legislation and regulatory authority.
West Surrey Association of Surveyors, Auctioneers
The West Surrey Association of Surveyors, Auctioneers and Estate Agents (WSA) is a self-regulating body of property professionals set up to promote a code of conduct amongst our members aiming to maintain the highest professional standards within the property industry and ensure best practice and fair play.
